Dallas-Fort Worth homebuilders expect uptick in 2020, with focus on affordability
North Texas homebuilders are encouraged by low interest rates, population growth and job growth headed into 2020, but their optimism is tempered by the reality that all good cycles eventually come to an end.
The consensus opinion: New home sales will climb, but slowly, in the year ahead.
Zach Schneider, president of McKinney-based Tradition Homes, said his team is cautiously optimistic about the 2020 DFW housing market.
“We recognize we’re in the late innings of a mature cycle, but the combination of ultra-low interest rates and positive employment growth in the area makes DFW a place where people want to be,” Schneider said.
